Over the years I have worked towards transitioning away from chemical based products to more natural options whenever I can. Whether it be household cleaning items or beauty products, natural is always better. However, finding a product that is natural and effective, can sometimes prove challenging…especially when it comes to deodorant. I have tried, unsuccessfully to find a natural, cruelty-free deodorant that actually works…that is until I found Meow Meow Tweet.
Meow Meow Tweet is a Leaping Bunny cruelty-free certified, small-batch skin care company that creates vegan skin care products with pure, all natural and organic ingredients. They offer a full line of soap, deodorant, body care, face care and baby products…all natural and all vegan.
When I first discovered Meow Meow Tweet (you gotta love the name…right?!) I tried out their deodorant cream in lavender.
At first I was hesitant to get a cream because I was so used to a stick deodorant, but I got over that pretty quick. The deodorant cream goes on really easy and smells great. The best thing? It kept me smelling good all day long…even through heavy workouts at the gym! Unfortunately after about two weeks of using Meow Meow Tweet’s deodorant cream, I started to get some irritation on one under arm. I did a bit of research into why a natural deodorant might be causing this irritation and I found that I might be sensitive to baking soda. Who knew? Lucky for me, Meow Meow Tweet carries a baking soda free deodorant! Yay!
I decided to try the baking soda free cream deodorant in grapefruit (below) and I am happy to report that it works great and no irritation at all!
If you are not a fan of cream deodorant, both the regular and baking soda free versions come in a stick. Also, all of Meow Meow Tweet’s deodorant comes in “mini” sizes so you can try them out first to see if you like them before committing to a full size. What are you waiting for? Go and grab yourself some Meow Meow Tweet so you can smell good the cruelty-free way!
