Can We Talk Culottes?

Everywhere I look, I’m seeing culottes for spring.  I had no idea that they were back…did you?  I have to tell you, I’m intrigued.  The last time I had a pair of culottes, it was some time in the 70’s and I think my mom had made them.  Needless to say, they weren’t terribly fashionable.  Today’s culottes are a whole different story.  They are chic and stylish and come in an array of fabrics and patterns.  Rather than me talk about it, let me show you.

I love the check pattern on these culottes from ASOS.  Made from 100% cotton, you could throw on these lightweight pants with a simple t-shirt and you are good to go.

These pleated front culottes from ZARA are simply fabulous.  These pants are made form 100% polyester and are all party in the front, business in the back.  There is some serious swish going on here.

The Things in Common culottes from Kowtow  are simple and chic and can be dressed up or down.  Not only will you look good when you wear these pants, you will feel good to because they are made from premium 100% certified fair trade organic cotton poplin.  Good stuff.

I don’t know about you, but I am a jeans kind of girl so when I can across these fabulous denim culottes from Citizens of Humanity,  I was sold.  This is the Melanie wide leg crop in black hawk.  I love everything about these jeans.  The dark lived-in wash, the large front pockets, the frayed hems….swoon.  I can see me wearing these around all summer long.

I hope you will join me in the culottes trend.  There are so many fashionable, vegan options out there, I just barely scratched the surface in this post.  For me personally, I am all in.  I am going to be reliving my 70’s childhood, but this time in a much more stylish way.
