Ceibo – Handmade Vegan Bags from the Lone Star State

With spring right around the corner (really, it’s right there, I swear) and the thought of trees starting to bud and flowers beginning to bloom, I’m thinking about infusing some newness into my wardrobe.  What better way to do this than with a fun, vegan handbag?

Ceibo is a vegan handbag and accessory company based out of Houston, Texas.  This company was started in 2016 by Maria Candena who designs and makes all Ceibo creations by hand out of her home!  Maria is committed to providing high quality, handmade, vegan handbags and accessories.  According to the Ceibo website,

Ceibo is committed with an animal friendly fashion. No animal-based materials are used in the manufacturing of any product. In order to provide a vegan product, Ceibo is always looking for using better materials, fabrics or textiles such as polyurethane (PU) and plant-based straws like raffia and toquilla.

Made in small batches, Ceibo handbags are beautifully made and come in a variety of interesting shapes and colors.  Here are some of my favorites.

First up is the Reversible Bucket Bag in Snake/Blush.  There is so much that I love about this bag.  From the metal hoop handles to the roomy size, this bag is chic and practical.  The combo of ivory snake-skin print and soft blush is perfect for spring.

This bag comes in several color combinations.  I am dying over this black and olive one so much that I just had to share it with you.  I mean look at the texture on the black side….loving it!

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that I tend to wear a lot of neutrals.  I do, however, like to add a pop of color every now and again.  I think that this Ring Clutch in fuchsia would be perfect with a little black dress for a date night.  Ceibo got it just right with adding the simple gold chain strap which makes this bag both fashionable and functional.

If fun, quirky shapes are your thing, check out this super cute Mini Circle Ring bag.  This bag comes in a variety of delicious colors.  I’m digging the ocher color shown below.

So if these cold, grey days have got you down, go and check out Ceibo and treat yourself to a new cruelty free bag for spring.

  1. Oh, my. I’ve never considered myself much of a bag person (you’ve seen my sorry-ass backpack, Claude) and normally reserve my passion and mad-money for shoes, but…these are so amazing!
