Gearing Up for Fall – My Vegan Boot Wishlist

Fall is by far my favorite time of year.  I love the cooler temperatures, the colors of the changing leaves and most of all…boots!  I spend most of the summer months in some sort of sandal so when September rolls around, I am ready for socks and boots.  There are tons of fabulous vegan boot options out their from over the knee to ankle and everything in between.   Since there are so many amazing pairs out there for fall that I’ve decided to focus just on ankle boots for this post.  Here are some of my favorites!

I am so in love with these button detailed two tone ankle boots from ZARA.  The black and cream combo is very Chanel-esque with a modern block heel that is juxtaposed with button detailing on the side reminiscent of the 1920’s.

Ankle boots paired with bare legs and a skirt or dress is a look that I am a big fan of.  I think that it looks best with boots that have a sock-like closure at the ankle so the top of the boot fits nice and snug.  These Faux Suede Sock Boots by Kendall & Kylie really fit the bill.  They have a nice, snug fitting stretch sock top and a 4″ chunky angled heel that would amp up any outfit.  They are available at ASOS.

If you prefer a more casual look with less of a heel, check out the Poppy Ankle Boot from Urban Outfitters.  These vegan leather boots have a classic look and feel with cool contrasting wood-look heels.  The back zipper makes these boots easy to get on and off and also add a nice edgy detail.

As you probably know from reading earlier posts of mine, I do tend to lean towards the color black in my wardrobe.  But that doesn’t mean that I can’t break out of that mold.  Check out these fab burgundy ankle boots with gold heel from ZARA.  These bad boys are a nice twist on a neutral with the deep burgundy color and then you get a fashion forward surprise with the shiny gold detail on the heels.  The snug stretch sock top, topstitch detailing, and subtle pointed toe give these boots a rich, sophisticated feel.

Another twist on a neutral is grey/taupe.  I really like the versatility of this color as I feel that it goes with just about anything.  The Gwen ankle boot from Volatile is a nice, worn vegan leather boot with a chunky wood-like heel.  These boots comes in several different colors and is available from Zappos.

Now to totally break out of my comfort zone, I’ve been checking out the Amber ankle boot from ASOS.   This is a classic Chelsea boot with a pointy toe, 1″ stacked heel and funky faux snakeskin print.  I think that these could be a fabulous addition to my monochromatic wardrobe.  What do you think?
